I have a small backyard flock. I have way too many eggs for just myself - and would like to share them with my local community. My chickens are healthy and happy. I keep them in a large 3-Section predator proof housing. They enjoy a large 5x5 coop, a 12x6 covered outside run, and a very large 20x9 semi-covered outside run. I currently have 11 chickens, they are all female - and I have no roosters. You can buy 1/2 dozen, 1 dozen or 2 dozen. All eggs are light, medium and dark brown. Most are large and xl, with a few medium sized. I have just over an acre of land, and my chickens enjoy all shaded area, quality feed, plus scraps and I grow fresh produce for them to eat also.
I am in Lake Wylie/Clover, just South of Charlotte.
