We started raising chickens a few years ago and have truly enjoyed it as a family. Our hens are fed a wide variety of organic food including seeds, vegetables, breads and more. We never feed anything that is spoiled that we wouldn't eat ourselves, or meat.
Our chickens have become one of our pets more so than a livestock animal. We officially get too many eggs for our family to consume; our girls can easily lay 2 dozen per day between the 10 of them.
