Fresh from our girls to you! Our flock of 4 different breeds (Rhode Island Reds, Chocolate Orpington, Black Australorp, and Sapphire Gems) 'freely roam' from their coop to their fenced in, 1600 sq ft grassy area. Inside this grassy area, we have 'dusting bins', and a chicken swing-set for their enjoyment. We are able to easily rotate the fenced in area due to the coop being built on an 8'x12' trailer, and the "mesh style" fencing is easily moved to different areas as often as is needed to keep the girls on fresh grass. Because of this mobile setup, these girls get to experience a 'free range' life, full time. Because the rotated area is comprised of 1-1/2 acres (approx), they enjoy periodic open access to the larger areas of grass, during rotation. These girls get all the fresh air, sunshine, foraging time, food, "chicken scratch", "mealworms", and fresh water, daily, that they need. Each carton of eggs comes with a friendly note that tells you the date the eggs were laid, along with a helpful bit of information about "unwashed", farm fresh eggs.
